Good afternoon, everyone. My name is Malcolm Reed and I am a new arrival here. I do hope that we will be able to get along. It would be quite a shame otherwise.

[There is a short pause as he seems like he's considering something.]

Not to be a bother, but does anyone have some advice about here that may be helpful to me? If not, I'm sure I can figure things out on my own.

[Malcolm's not even sure how to react to an apparently excited Tucker because Tucker only gets excited about ship parts and the last time Malcolm checked, he was not a spaceship component. So he's incredibly wary of Trip, but this is so very not obvious when he finally responds, sounding equal parts surprised and confused.]

It's just gonna get odder. But it's kinda fun, most of the time. I'd kill for a better engine room to work in or somethin' but the rest of it isn't all that different from back home, what with the explorin' "strange new worlds" and getting your ear talked off about other cultures.
